Perfect Anniversary Gift? New Car Battery!
Today Andrew and I celebrate 3 years of marriage. We dropped Jules off at my moms, had a great dinner at the local Japanese steakhouse, shopped for Julien's birthday and stopped for coffee and doughnuts on the way home. Everything was going great until the doughnut stop... as soon as we pulled out of the parking lot it started raining. Not just a little sprinkle either, the huge drops that soak you to the bone. Then the car battery light came on and before we knew it the car was slowly coming to a stop and I was calling my dad to jump us... Thankfully it ended up just being the battery, which we replaced in the pouring rain--because no one's car breaks down in the middle of a beautiful day... I guess that's one way to have a memorable anniversary. We finished up our evening with a glass of wine at The Lafayette, picked up our sleeping boy and headed home. I didn't get 1 good picture, but it was a good day.

Father's Day Part 1
Happy Father's Day! (Especially to my dad and Hubs)
I made him crepes with cooked apples, fresh strawberries and peaches, whipped cream AND Harry & David chocolate sauce for breakfast in bed and we've just been hanging out all day.
Here's wishing you a fun, relaxing day!

Hanging Cocoon-- Put To Use!

This little fella is so sweet. 17 whole days old! On one hand I feel like my little Juju was just this size yesterday, on the other it feels like ages ago. More of my photography can be found HERE.

Thrifted
If only I would have found these a month ago! They're a little too snug for J now. He could wear them, but not with socks and it's just too stinkin' cold to not wear socks...
Even if he can't wear them, I'm glad I found them. If I don't have another little one I can think of a couple friends that would be very happy with these. Plus they seem like they would be really easy to make. I might try to make something similar sometime.

Crochet!

I have to say it turned out really well for what I went through with it. I purchased a pattern on Etsy because I wanted to be sure to get the sizing right. I knew I shouldn't have though... The pattern called for 3 skeins of yarn (which I used) and when I was about 2 rows from being done I ran out. I followed it exactly. Lame. I knew I wasn't going to be happy with it about 1/3 or the way through it, though... It was way too tight and didn't look at all like the photos she provided. I guess it did push me to write my own pattern, which I may share here sometime. The worst part about it is that I just hate to leave negative feedback. I think I'll just let it sit for a while...
I'm excited about tomorrow's shoots. I love newborn shoots. I also have my first shoot with a local band. That should be really fun too. I need to start sharing my photos here.

Blog much?
Let's see... Our trip to Florida was so much better than I even expected. We spent so much time with family that we rarely get to see AND Hubby took me
to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter for Christmas! We also went to Universal Studios. It was just a really good time. Even Baby J had fun. It was freezing, but better than Ohio any day...
The holidays were pretty great, too. Definitely a successful first Christmas for my little guy. He loved all the excitement and of course all his loot. I got a Nikon D300S! I am one happy momma...
So the new year is upon us and nothing too exciting is going on. Hopefully I'll get back into blogging. I feel like I've had a lot in mind to share. We'll see how much of it I get out.
Also, I've entered my first photo contest and it would be super awesome to win... If you have a spare moment please vote for us!...
I have no idea if that link will work, but here's the picture...

My sweet boy at 6 months. I did a newborn shoot last week and it just made me want to cry because he really is growing up too fast. (The shoot was actually a blast and I can't wait to do more newborns...)
